Ascent Trip ReportDrove up to the Huntersfield State Forest sign after Huntersfield Rd. turns into a single-track unmaintained dirt road (came in from the north end). Walked up the road to the abandoned quarry where I saw someone else had driven their truck all the way up. Probably would've been doable in my own truck but I don't have a spare tire right now and didn't want to chance it. Walked in to the summit from there on a mostly gradual incline on what appears to be a little-used 4-wheeler trail until I took a left on the yellow-blazed trail (nice overlook with a bench along this trail, really the only nice view on this hike) then continued yellow trail up to the summit, where there isn't much to see, just a benchmark indicating you're at the high point. Came down the red trail which I'd seen marked next to my parking spot and correctly assumed it was the same red trail. Future climbers note that the red trail follows an old logging road for a while and is very wet in a few spots in this section if it's rained a lot recently.
