Ascent Trip Report

Public land. Car accessible. TH is at an obscure sign for the Klickitat Trail 7 on the right. Instead, take the unmarked trail on the opposite side of the road. Does not follow the mapped route but goes right to the summit. Came to one spot that appeared to have a fork but the right flat track is the trail. The left uphill was just a shortcut. The trail is marked by old tin can lids on trees. Continuing on, the trail is a bit overgrown but no problem to follow. Finally, it hits the South ridge at perhaps 5250'. Turn right and follow to the open summit. Make sure to catch this junction on the return. Pretty easy. Trip was fairly uneventful. Bobby does not like his new booties so that was a fail. Hot hot hot hot. Too hot to bother with a second peak.
