Ascent Trip ReportCamped below Dollar Lake with several members of The Utah Climbing Club to climb the Triple Crown (the tallest three peaks in Utah) in a day. Woke up and climb the North Spur then over to the top of Gilbert in 2 and a half hours from there we climbed East Gunsight for an extra 13'er and down a very, very steep talus slope to Gunsight Pass. Hiked over to Kings Peak and summited Kings Peak barely avoiding a thunderstorm. Turned around from there instead of summiting South Kings Peak because of another thunderstorm heading our way. Turned out to be a great idea. Very fun trip!! |
