Ascent Trip Report

Since I was in the area, I decided to make a side trip to the high point of Rhode Island.

I parked in a dirt pulloff on the side of RI 101, then headed into the woods via the Jerimoth Hill Trail. En route, I stopped at all the USGS markers, then made my way to the true summit, which was a titanic boulder jutting out of the ground, adorned with a cairn, register, and Tibetan-style flags. Spent a few minutes here signing the register, looking around, and getting picture proof (this is a State HP, after all), then headed back to the car.
