Ascent Trip ReportSuper cool class 1.5 little rock scramble on skier's left of the Muir Snowfield. Boot path up to the top.
It's apparent that Anvil Rock used to be a fire lookout - there's an old foundation, part of an old wall, and some wire and glass and stuff.
The views of Paradise glacier are superb. It's clear why recent ski trips there have been canceled - the beautiful skiable snow is now riddled with crevasses.
We were able to get some decent glissades in on the way down. The snow was quickly firming up with the overcast skies and the cooling temperatures.
