Ascent Trip Report

A lot easier to find than expected, thanks to google map on my phone. Founds Scales Road, proceeded about 7-7.5 miles up the dirt road turning left off of Scales road( Scales road actually bends a hard right and the road you "turn left" on is actually a straight shot) there were several huge logs piled on the side of the road, go to the left of them, and then an uphill right at the next fork and follow it around to the southern end of the hill. Made it all the way here in a minivan. The whole family walked in a northerly direction up the gentle hill and easily found the stump/stick pile at the highest point and also a concrete brick with a stick sticking out of the top of it. Tons of huge pinecones and sticks all over the forest floor, and some mosquitoes buzzing around in the air. Air temps in the 70s were most more pleasant than 107 recorded a couple hours earlier at Sacremento Zoo.
