Ascent Trip ReportWe parked at Upper Work trailhead and hiked in to the Uphill Brook Lean-to. Several of the campsites nearby were already filling up, but the lean-to was still vacant. We set up our stuff and headed out to hike Redfield and Cliff. The trail leading to those two was literally right across from the trail for the lean-to.
A short ways up the trail there was a cairn marking where the trail split; left up to Redfield and right up to Cliff. We chose to do Redfield first. The trail was extremely muddy. One of the muddiest trails I've been on, at least for the bottom section. The the trail started to mix in with the Uphill Brook. It was a pretty nice trail; Dan said it was one of his favorites so far!
We saw several others on the mountain that day, but fortunately we had the small summit to ourselves when we got there. There wasn't much of a view from the summit, but it was nice with a summit marker. We had a bite to eat over on a small ledge, then headed back down to the junction with Cliff.
