|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Location:||USA-New Hampshire|
| Elevation:||3565 ft / 1086 m|
Ascent Trip ReportParked at pulloff 0.2 mi W of the trailhead road, which is rough and requires high clearance. Success Pond Rd had a few rough spots to negotiate on the way in but easily. Success trail very muddy but otherwise well maintained. Some slippery ledges to deal with. Was foggy on the way up, so I hit the outlook on the way down. Had my best views of the day there.
Made it to the summit and didn't have much view for my 52WAV finish. Visited the plane crash site, which is worth finding. Because the day was very nice with no bugs, I went over to Carlo afterwards. The AT between Success and Carlo is very rough with a lot of up and down and a few areas of fun/difficult scrambling in and out of narrow ravines. There was still ice in some of the boulder caves.
