Ascent Trip Report

Cog railway to the top where you find a surprisingly informative and well done exhibition about marmots, plus the chance to see multiple different species from around the world (even in their burrows inside a specially designed tunnel. Our family of four stayed the night in the historic simple hotel (built 1892). In the morning we strolled up to the summit and around various other paths admiring the extensive views in all directions. The night before had ended in a spectacular lightening storm and with the marmots and all my kids (6 and 4) had had a fantastic time.. Dinner also wasn't half bad considering the location, especially when accompanied with the local wine.
