Ascent Trip ReportFrom Buzzard Rock I hiked down the AT to the saddle between Buzzard and Beech. I departed the AT via a sharp right turn and hiked across the wide saddle before ascending gently and then more steeply the slope of Beech. No views on the way. Bushwhacking on the way wasn't too bad except for passing thru a grove of young beeches. Just a few yards of thrashing. On top the summit was flat. A couple of hammock-sized rocks vie for the high point. I put a couple of smaller rocks on my choice for top spot.
35 minutes for the roundtrip from Buzzard Rock.
