Ascent Trip Report

Tougher than the topo would indicate.

Lots of bushwhacking, a surprising amount of steep snow (to 50+ degrees in short stretches), a few hundred feet of class 4/5- climbing, and the most ridiculous bushwhack (on the descent) that I've encountered - including the Battle of Frozen Devil's Club on South/Echo Peak.

I needed an axe to descend some inviting (but dangerously steep) snow fields instead of bushwhacking!

Moose and bear tracks galore on the ascent.
