Ascent Trip Report

We did this in July and I can tell you that the summertime isn't the best time to do some of these desert peaks (90 degrees) but by going slowly and drinking lots of water, we hiked the 9 mile round tripper and came out fine. This is a neat peak and the views are expansive. We hiked up the road for a good portion of the hike due to a big tree that blocked the road near its start until we reached the FAA station on the subpeak and then did the last past following a rough path up to the summit. I was with my son in law on this one.
