Ascent Trip ReportDrove to Windy Pass / Olallie Meadows and hiked the PCT about a mile before ascending a steep gully to the saddle below Silver Peak. This was not the normal route up. It was significantly steeper, but doable b/c of the snow cover. Climbed up and over the bump between Silver and Abiel and ascended a snowy ridge to the summit of Abiel. Snow cover was light and made for a spicy, slippery descent. |
