Ascent Trip Report

I climbed Mt. Ellinor from the lower trailhead. I would recommend starting there, it gives you a good chance to warm up. The hike can easily be done in a half day with limited gear. I would recommend bringing an ice axe for safety. You will need it if your going to Glissade down. Besides the view, Glissading is one of the best parts. At the top there is a Known Mountain goat that is not afraid of people. Don't be alarmed he wont bit. I would recommend bringing a pair of waterproof pants and gaiters for the climb up and Glissading down.
