Ascent Trip Report

When I visited China with my wife we went to Badaling and climbed the great wall. We took the train from Beijing to Badaling. Once inside the Badaling area we took a left and headed up that side first. We were told this path is steeper, but also shorter. We made our way to the end through a number of towers and many steep sections. When we got back to the tourist main area my wife stayed behind and I made my way up the right branch to the highest tower. It was windy and cold. But the views were outstanding.

This map point is not accurate as the Badaling tourist area is located somewhat north of the location. The GPS track by Rickard Colliander shows the actual hike up the right branch of the Great Wall.
