Ascent Trip Report

This steep drive is lined with tall shrubs to seclude if from the nice ranch to the east of it. I made the mistake of thinking you could easily park at the top but no, the gate stops you with no turn around and a very steep place to make a 5 point turn with steep paved swale drop offs. Because of that, and the numerous warning signs on the fence saying big brother is watching you 24-7-365, I advise parking at bottom and hiking up.

Once I got my car positioned in the down facing direction, I hiked back down to the intersection of Sandfort Road and hiked back up quickly for my sixth get out and get some exercise for the day. My pedometer buzzed me that I hit 15,000 steps the moment I reached the fence of this heavily gated compound. Apply the appropriate rules of HPing a gated secured facility as this is not one to get caught messing with by the looks of the plentiful warning signs.
