Ascent Trip Report

From the Sand Pond Rd Gate, I followed my way north-west along wood roads into col between heights, after bushwhacking herd paths to Area 2 summit, continued along in col (last snows) to another road gate and a junction of tracks taking the one (ATV) that crossed ridgeline upward south-eastward reaching a 4-Way junction, my next bushwhack (and earlier Ben Lostracco's) was from here, on reaching HP could see a rocky clearing just beyond (might qualify for another summit candidate) which made for a good rest stop, retraced my steps back to trail head. Meeting no one during my hike, I crossed many signs of an area heavily hunted in season and an often visited trail head.
