Ascent Trip ReportHeaded up from Cold Creek TH, 2.5 miles to PCT, then north for .75 miles to climbers trail between Tinkham and Silver. Went up silver and came back down a bit different path. There seemed to be plenty of other route options, notably the west ridge. We took the PCT to Windy Pass (which is a much better/closer starting point if it is accessible). I had picked up a pair of gloves a party in front of us had lost during their glissade, and was surpirsed to find them still at the TH, but was able return them to their owner, who then gave us a ride back to the Cold Creek TH, saving us a 2 mile road walk. |
