Ascent Trip Report

A nice hike just off I-90. The start of the trail is a bit hard to find, very shortly after leaving the parking area on the trail you must turn right downhill to the creek and cross it on a small bridge, and the junction was not signed. The trail then switchbacks uphill easily, briefly joins a logging road, and then reaches a signed trail junction. The path to Easton Ridge heads right, and is well maintained at first. The last mile or so is a bit sketchier, with logs over the path, but still easy to follow and gentle. The highest point on Easton Ridge is to the NW of the trail, on a rocky spur to the left as you approach on the trail.

I did this hike in very rainy conditions, and there were utterly no views from the summit. Lower down on the trail some overlooks provided views down to I-90. Overall, though, a pleasant and easy hike to a nice thousand-foot prominence peak.
