Ascent Trip ReportGualala Mountain is a trivial peak other than it is the site of a former fire lookout and happens to rank #250 on the rather subjective California Coastal Peaks List. The approach is straightforward: I drove up Fish Rock Rd from Anchor Bay on CA 1, then across Iversen Rd to Signal Ridge Rd, which traverses Gualala Mountain. I spent time on both sides of the road, tramping through the undergrowth, looking for a summit marker or some signs of the old lookout. No luck. However, after my good faith effort, I count Gualala Mountain as a done deal.
