Ascent Trip Report

Bushwhack with Jamie and Michael. This was a truly excellent trip! Good thing we had those chains by accident for the drive up Zealand Road. Snow everywhere was beautiful and the party from earlier in the day who knocked all the snow of the trees along the trail - thanks! The 'whack part was pretty long and very diverse. On the way up, the open gentle slope we eventually hit was great. Going first and having stale snow pour down on you was really fun, as was the one time I fell and on the way down knocked so much snow off a tree Jamie said I disappeared for a while in a sea of white.

Bad blowdowns by the top was the worst part of the climb. The hike down was pretty uneventful. We ended up heading more to the west - to avoid the blowdown (which was huge so we did not). No views but a nice day out I will always look back on this one fondly.
