Ascent Trip ReportWinter parking is about a 0.8 mile and 360ft below the LT junction. Hiked through blown over snow on trail to Battell Trail junction. Then broken out to just before Lincoln. At Lincoln start hitting ski slopes, encountering skiers, and following ski tracks until Ellen. The trail often follows the slopes for a short while before breaking off left in this direction. Just after Ellen was particularly confusing. The trail enters the woods about 30ft after the lift on the left, but there are only two blazes marking a non-obvious junction, with the snow. You can hike down the slope, it's difficult to find the trail at the bottom unless it's broken out. Just stay on the ridge, you'll find it eventually. Hiked down the Jerusalem Trail. Steep at the top, not broken out, but fine going down. Encountered a big sugarbush with tracks to follow to the road just at dark. |
