Ascent Trip Report

Due to a recent change in the boundary between Allegany and Garrett Counties, this peak seems to be the new highpoint of Allegany County, superseding Dan's Rock and an unnamed liner by about forty feet. While attempting to visit the aforementioned liner, I climbed Sampson Rock "in error." The lay of the land felt wrong, but I pushed on until reaching the summit and seeing BM Sempson, which verified my mistake. Little did I know I was on the correct peak, but fourteen years early! Sorry for no directions, but Ben Lostracco's report is far more up-to-date.
