Ascent Trip Report

I tried the Fish Creek trailhead to save elevation gain. I'm not sure if the extra 3-4 miles are worth it but it might be. I think total gain is closer to 4000 feet counting the couple hundred coming back from the meadow. The trail is well maintained and has a relatively easy grade overall for such a big hill. If it is less used than Vivian Creek it might be due to being further away from the city with a rough road. The road is probably passable by a passenger car but I was glad to have a Dodge Durango. There was a little snow on the north slopes but not enough to be a concern. The trail was mostly clear and where it wasn't it was packed out. There were a lot of people on the mountain from all sides for mid-November.
