Ascent Trip ReportA hike I really didn't have my heart into until we hit the summit :-) ...Got to TH a little later than we wanted as he hit plows on Rte 3 & were held up....It was cold at the TH & snowing....We started up barebooting it till we got to Webster Brook & Webster Cliff tr we put on our spikes & kept them on the rest of the way ......On summit of Webster it was a little cloudy & still snowing but you could see it wanting to clear.
On our way to Jackson we could see it had cleared & the sky was a Cobalt Blue framed by the white trees.When we got to the steep part just before the summit we ran into the Gray Jays ..Got entertained by them for awhile then hit the summit .It was cold & windy on Jackson with the wind blowing about 25-30 MPH didn't stay long ...Came down the Jackson Brook & Webster-Jackson Tr .
What a day & hike & just think I really didn't want to go ....Glad I did :-D |
