Ascent Trip ReportThis State Park is east of Redding about six miles on Highway 299. Take Trinity Aly south and bear right on McComb Hill Road. It will seem like you going onto someone's property, but you are okay. Look left and you will see a dirt road with a gate. It was open when we were there. That is the park boundary. Follow the dirt road a hundred yards and turn right going up hill. This will end up on a flat hilltop. This is the HP.
Also enjoy the park itself as it has many historic buildings.
