Ascent Trip Report

Today was perfect for a bushwhack hike up North Dome and Sherrill. We started at the DEC lot at the end of Spruceton Road, hiked up to the just before the Westkill Mtn junction sign and turned west towards the ledges. Bushwhacking was easy on all parts this time of year outside of the fresh snow which made the upper areas slippery. Roughly 2.4 miles to NDome summit, another 1.4 to Sherril and then return to parking). It was a moderate hike 7.6 mile with a few steep ledge climbs for a gain of ~2900'. The temps were high 30s - low 40s with fresh snow on the ground and blue skies - perfect!
