Ascent Trip Report

Decent peak, barely over an hour from the city. Old woods road / x-country ski trails to summit, never very steep. One really nice rocky view point just below summit, one of the better I've been on in the Laurentians; soaked in the sun and views for quite a while there. Could see the Olympic Stadium from the refuge at the summit, even could make out the shape of Mont St-Grégoire beyond. A couple of picturesque lakes as well along the route. We were surprised to see a moose near the summit as well.

My GPS showed an elevation of 507 m at the summit.

Trip 2 (2015-07-12)
Very hot, lots of mosquitoes. Trail 12 looked overgrown, probably not maintained for hiking, so we stayed on trail 11 out and back. Though basically a road and ATV trail hike, pleasant enough for a quick outing from the city.
