backpack trip into Horn Fork Basin for an early morning start (6 am) up the South slope route thru multiple snow fields to summit, then stayed close to the standard route traverse over to Mount columbia for summit then down the loose west slope route to camp. woke up to a fresh coating of snow before packing up and out to Cottonwood trailhead
