Ascent Trip ReportArrived at the trailhead about 3 AM. Michael and I drove in from Cambridge after seeing a show. We slept in the back of the car and awoke at 7. I was so tired I slept like a log. The trailhead is in the parking lot of The Equinox Hotel, so I was able to use a 4 star bathroom to wash up. I even "treat" myself to not one but two cups of hot coffee. It just doesn't get better than that.
This climb was very steep until you got to about 3/10's of a mile to the summit and then it levels off. After following a relatively leveled trail to the lookout, we ate lunch with the group. What a treat that was!! It was a beautiful fall, crisp day. The views were beautiful from this lookout. |
