Ascent Trip Report

This is on the fire tower list so I headed out in the wee hours of the day to check it out. Started with a 4 mile run in Goshen/Washington before sunrise then headed into the woods. The logging road (right at the town line) looked like a good spot to enter the woods as most of the area is posted. The logging road became disused quickly and was really rough so I hit the woods. The woods were nice and open. I took a compass bearing and aimed for the hill to the south of Goves. With a lot of leaves down it was pretty easy to hit that little summit. I headed North across the saddle and up Goves. The drop to the SE was something and if there hadn't been a lot of fog and low clouds I might have had a decent view. BW back in a general SW direction and eventually hit the logging road. Round trip was an hour.
