Ascent Trip Report

A long-planned-for trip to bag the two St Kilda sea stacks, which for nature conservation reasons can only be visited outside the summer months. When the weather window finally arrived it was a single day only, and we were lucky to get up both Stac Lee and Stac an Armin in a day trip out of Leverburgh, South Harris, with 11 summitting Armin, 6 of us summitting Lee, and Eddie Dealtry and I becoming the first people to complete the British Marilyns (150m prominence summits), 22 years after Alan Dawson published the list in 1992. As of October 2014 the list numbers 1556 summits.
