|Date:||Monday, March 31, 2014|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||6512 ft / 1984 m|
Ascent Trip Report Scheduled hike with George Christiansen as co-leader. Joining us was Lewis Hoffman, Miriam Khamis and Winnette Butler. This was an explorer route for me. The Green Valley campground was closed so we had to park about 1 mile from the entrance. Parked just pass a bridge on 79. Walked back over bridge to the 79 connector trail to West Side trail. Took it to West Mesa Monument trail to West Mesa Fire trail to Burnt Pine trail for road to Cuyamaca. On the way up picked up Japacha, a San Diego peak. Where the Burnt Pine trail takes a sharp turn to the right, follow a poor use trail about a 1/10th mile to peak. Also, went over Airplane Ridge on way up. Came down same way.
