As part of my road trip from my home town in Red Hook, NY to Los Angeles, CA where I am moving I made the journey north to Plattsburgh to partake in a Track Alumni ceremony. I spent about half a week hiking in the Adirondacks between Red Hook and Plattsburgh to finish my Fire Tower Challenges for both New York and Hamilton County. I HAVE COMPLETED MY NEW YORK FIRE TOWER CHALLENGE!! Having completed the Hamilton County Fire Tower Challenge the previous day, I car camped at the trailhead of Arab and got up for sunrise, but yet again clouds stopped my sunrise views. Great hike for families as there is brochure that you can borrow for your hike that talks about the mountains history and identifies some trees and other plant life. To kill time before the Tupper Lake Brewery opened I headed over to Cathedral Rock.
