As part of my road trip from my home town in Red Hook, NY to Los Angeles, CA where I am moving I made the journey north to Plattsburgh to partake in a Track Alumni ceremony. I spent about half a week hiking in the Adirondacks between Red Hook and Plattsburgh to finish my Fire Tower Challenges for both New York and Hamilton County. This was the third peak on my Hamilton County list and my 20th on my New York state list. This was my third peak of the day. I saw a few people returning on my way up and one group on my way back at the base of the climb so I had the whole summit to myself to enjoy the tower and the helicopter landing pad which was new and different so kinda cool. I hiked down and camped at the Wakely Dam where I shared some beer with two hikers doing the Northville-Lake Placid trail.
