Ascent Trip ReportWe went up Baldy after Sugarloaf, approaching it from the saddle between them. All the trickier bits -- the scree and so forth -- are right up front; the rest is a light walk. The view from up there is one of my favorites to date: Pfeifferhorn, Timp, and Twin Peaks are all showcased beautifully (as are others I can't yet name).
I think approaching from Hidden Peak, after riding the Snowbird tram, involves a very short hike over easy terrain; I want to try that later on with my kiddo.
With construction on hidden peak, maintenance golf carts, and ski lift machinery all around there's a bit less solitude than I usually like on my hikes, but that was interesting in its own way.
