Ascent Trip Report

Earlier in the day, Richard had climbed Pah Rum peak while I took a rest day since I had already climbed Pah Rum about a month earlier. In reading the information about Kumiva, both on summitpost and here at peakbagger, it looked like we might find a different route up than the two suggested on the summitpost page. I noted that both Edward Earl and David Porter had found routes requiring less than 2700 feet whereas the other two routes shown on summitpost were in the 3300 foot range for elevation gain. In studying the map, it appeared that there might be another way to access the summit from the northwest and that is what Richard Carey and I decided to try, a route from the northwest.
