Ascent Trip Report

A ski run northbound climb in a ski resort ...... 1.25 miles, 1 hour RT.

From the village of Jackson, intersection of #16A/16B east of the bridge over the Wildcat Brook, we drove north on #16B for 1.6 miles to a left (west) turn on Woody's Farm Road (still #16B). North of this junction is the Black Mountain Ski Resort.
At 250 yards west we turned right (north) onto Whitney Hill Loop Road (which we drove clockwise) and at .6 miles (after the sharp right bend at the top of the loop) we turned left (east) onto High Pasture Road .... at 75 yards ahead is the Ski Resort, we parked here, this was my TH. The HP is to the left (north).

I walked the furthest west ski run (all grass, moderately steep) northbound about .6 miles to the summit. A number of open swath in the woods will take you to the top. I was rewarded with nice views.
