Ascent Trip ReportThe last hill for the day was Crum Hill, MA. We used this address:
172-198 Blackstone Rd Florida, MA 01247
This address will get you within 1 mile of the road that goes up the hill so make sure you study the maps before you go.
We parked on the side of the road (Tilda Hill) right beside the access road for the high turbines. We started up at 5:01 pm. There are signs saying no trespassing. We hiked up the road and my son kept saying “mommy up there” and “around, around, around” as we walked up the hill. The road hike was very easy. We hiked up past the first couple wind turbines and made our way down the road to the highpoint which is by the fifth turbine. We arrived at 5:21pm. It seems the original highpoint has been destroyed by the construction to build the wind turbines as the main peak has been cleared and leveled off. We took some pictures around the original area and started back down to the car. On the way back we stopped by the second turbine because there is a potential highpoint here. There is a nine 5 foot high cairn of large flat stones. Wolf, Sugar and I took pictures here before we finished our walk down to the car arriving at 5:40pm. Three country highpoints bagged today!
