Ascent Trip Report

Parked the car at trailhead off of Doetown Rd. and took Stinson Mountain trail to the summit. The lower parts of this trail were along an old carriage road and (judging by the signs) a snowmobile trail in Winter. The second half or so of the trail was more standard hiking trail. Was a beautiful day and the views from the summit were nice. The views are all southward looking towards Rumney and Plymouth, you can also see all the windmills that have been installed. The remnants of the old fire tower remain with cement pillars and stairwell. A nice afternoon hike to start the weekend off right!
