Ascent Trip Report

Took the ferry back from Culebra and drove along the south coast to see the Tuna Point lighthouse. From there we took Hwy 10 up to Ruta Panoramica and drove to the start of the road that goes up to the radio towers. My wife rented the KIA and since she was the designated driver and didn't want to walk it after 7 days of snorkeling, she decided to drive it. It started off fun until the wheels started losing traction. With the gas pedal fully floored the KIA creeped up the hill about 1 MPH. It was a close call but she crested the top. Not recommending the last 1/2 mile in a KIA rental to anyone.
Gorgeous highpoint with wonderful views in all directions before a rainstorm started to blow our way fogging in the greenery.
