Ascent Trip ReportTemperatures were above average all week. Climbed with my favorite guide company, RMI. Camped at Camp Muir before heading for the summit via the Disappointment Cleaver route. Left Camp Muir just before midnight with temps in the mid 50's; wore only a base layer. Winds picked up after ascending Catherdal Gap; as per forecast. Summit winds were to be moderate. I turned around at 12200 due to running out of gas. Guides were great as well as the great people I climbed with. |
