Ascent Trip ReportApproach and descent on skis. Short scramble on dry, broken rock to summit, in Scarpa T2 telemark ski boots. The final summit tower involved mostly a short steep snow ascent (isothermal mush, hip deep if you took your skis off!), followed by a short, mostly horizontal scramble on broken volcanic rock to the summit; we used a 100 foot static line (cat up a tree cord) for minor protection; rope and a runner or two.
