Ascent Trip Report

Had planned on doing Boundary Peak instead, but because of the clear skies in the forecast at Granite and 30% chance of thunderstorms at Boundary we (my son and I) came here instead. Great little hike. We were able to park my 2WD Dodge Ram at the end of the road listed as a 4WD road on the map. We made it without any issues but I do recommend a high clearance vehicle. There was no real trail to follow, so we followed the fence line for the most part. Bushwacking all the way up, then it's definitely a class 2 and some 3 scramble for the last 3 to 400 feet. Fabulous day, inspite of the bugs and the haziness that was all over the valley.
