Ascent Trip ReportDecided to do Round/Frissell/CT Highpoint. Took our Toyota FJ north on Mt Riga Rd from Salisbury. It was threatening rain all day but fortunately we had nothing beyond a light drizzle.
Crossed Round Mountain easily (some rocks were wet), up Frissell, then quickly tagged the high point. Ran into a family of four from Rhode Island on their way to the tri-state marker as well as a boy scout group from Long Island. Clouds were low and winds were strong, but the views were still pretty spectacular, as we could clearly see Round, Bear, Plantain, and Everett all from Frissell.
We did the whole thing and were back at our car in just 2.5 hours.
