Ascent Trip ReportHiked from the Refugio Viote on path 607... Well I think we took a detour to the right. At the trail sign we went left instead of heading straight up some steps. It looked to be less steep. We rejoined trail 607 by following 618 from Bocca Viote (If memory serves me, it may have been Rocca). We climbed up and summitted Cornetto, descent past some military fortifications from WWI and went via a spring to Dos d'Abramo. After a 10-15 m via ferrata that was easy and we completed without gear or helmet, we summitted Dos d'Abramo. I climbed to the top of the summit cross which was fun. From there we descended by a 20 m via ferrata which also was done with no gear or helmet easily. Then summitted Cima Verde and descended via a very overgrown trail which we eventually lost and trudged through knee-high grass and a bog back to Refugio Viote. 11.6 km total distance for the loop.
