Ascent Trip Report

The description in "Hiking Nevada's County High Points" was very helpful for directions. Kevin Dinwiddie and I hiked in excellent weather and reached the summit in 1.5 hours, found the register and signed in. The site seems to be all but abandoned as a communications facility. The solar panels used to power the equipment have suffered gunshot damage and the antennas are completely unusable.
The view in all directions was splendid. Enjoyed a beautiful display of wild flowers on the way down.
Will be attempting Pershing County's high point, Star Peak, tomorrow.
