Ascent of Mount Washington on 2014-05-24
|Date:||Saturday, May 24, 2014|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||6255 ft / 1906 m|
Ascent Trip ReportSome route finding difficulty, primarily due to snow on trail starting in the meadow at 4600'. We took a gully that was only about 100 yards too far to the right but we're able to correct after am exposed traverse.
Second problem came after taking the left route to gain the ridge. We got to the ridge, but too far left and explored class 4 terrain until lowering back into minefields and finally gaining the summit ridge.
The summit scramble is solid and blocky. Very fun.
