Ascent Trip Report

Day started on the rainy side..Hiked with Nancy ,Brian & Baxter... We took the Snapper Tr to Carraige Rd to Summit....Rain stopped not long after starting our hike ....Hit the Carriage Rd & started up...When we got to the Glencliff & Carriage Rd Jct we noticed the pole there had no signs on it & it looked like they were ripped off ....We hikea little ways then about .5 from the summit we decided to drop our packs & head to summit as we could hear the wind picking up...On way up to summit we could see a few of the cairns that were torn down.... When we got to the summit the pole & sign were gone except for the trail sign which was laying in the rocks. Visibility was about 50'...On way down we hit the south peak ...About 1/2 way down the sun came out & there were views...Should have waited a couple hrs LOL...When we got down to the car we had our beers & cheese & crackers....While doing so we were surrounded by people going to a wedding at the cabin.....I had a great hike with good friends ....Thanks
