Ascent Trip Report

The first of six Midwestern cornfield county high points for today! Sometimes I think I need my head examined for doing so many of these, but then again it breaks up the long trek between Pennsylvania and New Mexico I make semi-regularly.

Driving: US 67 south; right on 10th 2 mi.; left on 40th. Parked in small pull off near solitary tree and its dead neighbor. Quarter mile muddy walk across cornfield up noticeable minor rise. A large array of exotic equipment (irrigation?) near the tree made an exotic cornfield sculpture
